Our position
An honest account of where we stand
- 01
As a trading house we do not produce, refine, mine or transport cargo ourselves. Our influence lies in the counterparties we choose, the vessels and service providers we accept and the standards we expect them to meet.
- 02
We do not yet publish a sustainability report or emissions data. When we make formal commitments, they will be specific and they will be reported against.
Priorities
What we focus on today
01
Safe and seaworthy vessels
We expect cargoes to be carried by vessels that meet the vetting, safety and pollution prevention standards customary in their trade.
02
Food that arrives fit to eat
Food cargoes move with fumigation, phytosanitary and health certificates, under HACCP and Halal requirements where they apply, so that quality is protected from origin to discharge.
03
Efficient voyages
Sensible routing and scheduling reduce waiting time, fuel use and cost. We plan deliveries with this in mind.
04
Compliance
We respect the environmental, maritime, food safety and trade laws of every jurisdiction a cargo passes through.

People
Conduct that reflects on everyone involved
Many people are involved in moving a single cargo, at sea and ashore. We expect our counterparties and providers to treat their crews and employees fairly and to keep them safe, and we hold ourselves to the same standard.
