Three businesses, one house
We trade crude oil and refined products, grains, rice and sugar, edible oils and proteins, fertilizers, and metals and ores. Our counterparties are refiners, distributors, millers, food importers, state buying agencies, fertilizer distributors, smelters and traders.
We do not own mines, farms, vessels, terminals or refineries. We work with the independent companies that do, and we take responsibility for coordinating them on behalf of our counterparties.
Where we sit between origin and end buyer
Between the producer and the buyer a cargo changes hands, crosses borders and depends on many specialists. Our role is commercial: to buy, to sell and to make sure everything in between happens as agreed.
Origin
Crude is produced, grain is harvested and ore is mined, then offered for sale by producers and their marketing companies.
Trading
We secure the allocation and agree its onward sale, specification, pricing and delivery terms.
Shipping
Independent shipowners carry the cargo from the load port to the discharge port.
Delivery
Refiners, millers, distributors and smelters receive the cargo against clean documents.
